This was my first ground transportation tour to the Grand Canyon and I am so glad I went with Pink Jeep Tours because they make the long journey and checkpoints and pick up/dropoffs seamless and easy. The beginning of the tour is a breeze as they pick you up from your hotel, not just along the strip but downtown as well. The vehicle kind of resembles a jeep, it's pink at least, but is really a comfortable 12 seater they call a "Tour Trekker". Most important on a trip like this from Las Vegas to the Canyon in August, the air conditiong was just perfect. As we left Las Vegas for the two-hour drive our guide started filling us in on everything surrounding us, history, geology, and he didn't stop until we reached the Canyon, just bursting with information and the occasional joke. The areas of the Canyon we were to visit were all on the Hualapi Nation land and these sites are only accessible to visitors by tour vehicle, most of which were large coaches. This was another way Pink Jeep Tours made everything easy as our guide went in to all the attractions with us and a shuttle driver picked us up in our small vehicle while scores of other tourists waited for their vehicles much longer than us, in the triple digit heat. Highlights of this tour include the Skywalk, Guano Point, and a Hualapai village where we were privledged to see a traditional music and dance presentation. Our guide gave us plenty of time at each stop to explore on our own but was always around to answer any questions or snap some photos for you. Each time we boarded our pink tour machine we could avail ourselves of plenty of ice cold water bottles of water, another perk not provided on the big bus tours. And we got to eat at a Hualapi restaurant and I finally got to try fry bread! The return trip was a bit more relaxed as our guide suggested we nap until the couple of stops on the way back which included a Joshua Tree forest and driving over and stopping for photos at the Hoover Dam. Also it should be noted the vehicle stops for a restroom/snack break at a truck stop on the way out as well as the return voyage. And at the end, just as the beginning, your Pink Jeep drops you off right at your hotel, and we were so pleased with our adventures. Highly Recommended.

My husband, a friend and I signed up for this tour because it only went to Zion and most other tours tried to cram in multiple stops.We ended up being the only people on the tour, which was great because it was like a private tour and we ended up being able to decide what we wanted to do and for how long.We happened to decide to go on one of the hottest days of the summer, but it wasn't unbearable and none of the hikes were long or strenuous. We pushed our tour guide John a bit - making him hike all the way to the entrance to The Narrows, but he would have catered things for people who were less inclined to go that far.John was a great guide. He kept us entertained on the ~ 3 hour drive between Zion and Vegas, and he sherpa-ed plenty of water for us and doled it out during the various short hikes, making sure we were well-hydrated.The park is beautiful and we got to take a refreshing break and wade in the Virgin River near The Narrows, which was fairly low.All in all, it was a great day and John was great company.

He brought the history of the area to life, explaining not only the story of El Dorado Canyon and Nelson Ghost Town, but also how they connect to the wider history and development of Las Vegas.I especially enjoyed learning about the geography of the region, the mining boom, and why Nelson played such an important role in southern Nevada’s early growth. Max answered questions with ease and shared plenty of interesting facts and stories along the way.The scenery was stunning, the history was fascinating, and Max’s enthusiasm made the whole experience even better.
